Take a look...it's in a book

Okay guys and gals... I'm in need of a good book!   I've been bookless for a few months now, and I just can't seem to find one that really captures my attention.  The last book I read was "The Glass Castle," by Jeanette Walls, and I must say... it was soooo good!   I read it in less than a week, I couldn't put it down.  And I'm such a ditz... I didn't even realize it was an autobiography until like 3 chapters in when I noticed finally that the main character had the same name as the author... duh!  The fact that it's a true story makes it even more incredible.  Jeanette tells the story so well of growing up in true poverty, with an alcoholic father and crazy mother... but it's told in such a lighthearted manor, that it never feels like a "sad story."   I would definitely recommend it if you haven't read it already.

What great books have you read lately?

  4. Well, do you enjoy mystery novels? In that case I recommened Jo Nesbo, he is rumoured to be the next Stieg Larsson and is amazing! I read all his books.

Some of my favorite books are "The bookseller in Kabul", by Åsne Seierstad, "Black like me" my John Griffin and "The boy who had the answer to everything" (The Slumdog Millionaire book). I don't rememberer of the author of the last one - trust me, the book is a million times better then the movie! None of these books are particulary new, Black like me is from the 60ties I think. But they are my favorites for a reason. Let me know if you check them out what you think :)
