Calling all bookies...

I need a new book.   It's been a while since I've read a book I could really get into.  Right now I'm reading "The Girl Who Played With Fire."   It's pretty good, but I just can't seem to get into it as much as the first one, "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," which I loved!  Earlier this year I read "The Time Traveler's Wife,"  "Memory Keeper's Daughter," and my favorite.... "April and Oliver."    So, what next?   I keep picking up my Twilight books and reading them over and over because I just haven't found one lately that really captures my attention.   I like books that are character rich, where it's more about the people then the action.   Have any suggestions?  What books have you read lately that you couldn't put down?

  1. I liked Devil in a white city. It's all true, but it reads like yummy fiction.

  2. I loved the Hunger Games Trilogy, and right now am reading Her Fearful Symmetry, which is by the same author as Time Traveler's Wife. So far, I love it. I can't seem to get into Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and it makes me sad because EVERYONE loves it, so it must get better! haha

  5. I'm having a contest on my blog right now... if you enter you have a chance to win my novel Duty and Death - I can't make any promises about it being utterly captivating, though I've had people tell me they've read it in a matter of days. It would be a free book.

    If you're interested it's at : http://abkeuser.blogspot.com/2010/12/everybody-loves-free-stuff.html

    Hope you find something soon!

  6. I really like Nicholas Sparks books, I tend to stick to what I know or are recommended to me. I recently read his, Safe Haven and The Choice. But I just got a book called For All Their Lives by Fern Michaels that so far is really good.
